Welcome Week 23: Undergraduate Edition

Find out what's in store for you in Welcome Week as part of the Division of Human and Social Sciences!

Welcome to Kent! Here is everything you need to know for your first week on campus. Your School-specific timetable is below. If you are a Joint honours student make sure to look at the timetable for both of your courses and attend what you can from each.

The most important event of the week is your course induction. This will ensure you feel fully prepared for the start of teaching after Welcome Week, and it’s a chance to grab a drink and a bite to eat with your academic teaching staff. The next most important event of the week is your Academic Advisor group session. Your academic advisor will be a constant point of contact during your studies here, so make sure to attend your session to get to know them this week. Check your emails to see who your advisor is and what hour time slot you have.

Every student who attends and completes the registration form for their School induction and academic advisor group session will be entered into a prize draw for a £20 voucher. Don’t forget to complete the online attendance forms! You also get to pick up a school swag bag at your Monday induction!

Welcome and induction activities don’t end with Welcome Week, so make sure to keep up to date with all activities in the Division by checking out the events page of the HSS Student Guide on Moodle: Course: HSS – Student Guide (2023/2024).
