This year’s QS World University Rankings include almost 1,500 institutions from around the world, so we are thrilled to place within the top 100 Psychology departments in the world and in the 2023 Times Higher Education World University Rankings, 8th in UK.
‘I am delighted with the School’s performance in the World University Rankings this year.’ Head of School Professor Robbie Sutton told us ‘Our rank of 8th in the UK in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, and 14th in the QS World University Rankings, confirms our position as one of the country’s elite Psychology departments.
‘Ranking in the top 100 Psychology departments in the world confirms our status as one of the world’s elite Schools.’
‘We are blessed to have an extraordinarily talented and dedicated group of staff who are dedicated to excellence and innovation in their teaching and research. We are proud of our students, from beginning undergraduates, through Masters and PhD, who likewise show such talent and dedication year on year, and do so much to make the School a vibrant, friendly place in which to work and study. Our graduating students also contribute much to us as they embark on their careers and stay in touch with us as alumni, speaking to our students and working together with our staff. ‘
As much as we enjoy celebrating our achievements, we are aware of the need to improve and adapt to a changing world. We have revamped our undergraduate curriculum this year, are rolling out exciting new degree programmes in the coming year, and undertaking a review of all of our teaching and research programmes to meet the needs of our students, our local community, and the wider national and international community.
