The last two years of graduation celebrations have been suspended due to the global pandemic but we are finally getting to celebrate the achievements of our students in Canterbury. This time the Class of 2020.
It was wonderful to see everyone again at the reception at Westgate Hall, Canterbury on March 30th. This cohort being particularly deserving having completed their degrees during an extremely challenging and unusual academic year which was so suddenly suspended by the COVID pandemic.
In his speech, Head of School Professor Robbie Sutton quoted Carl Rogers. “When I look at the world I’m pessimistic, but when I look at people I’m optimistic” and talked about how the University of Kent Psychology graduates can make the world a better place.
The formal convocation took place at UNESCO World Heritage Site, Canterbury Cathedral.
