Struggling with Motivation? Join the Psychology Virtual Study Lounge!

What is a Virtual Study Lounge?

The Virtual Study Lounge is a chance to work alongside other students in a virtual space. Each session supports concentrated work, with scheduled breaks, and lots of motivation!

This Spring, Study Lounge sessions are every Thursday 4-5.30pm.

Psychology student Helena Ruster joined the Virtual Study Lounge in search of motivation, she said

“I can only recommend the virtual study lounge not only to do work but also to feel part of the student community at UKC and connect with people.”

“But I managed to get quite a bit of work done, as well as being able to socialise with other students. It almost felt like pre-covid times when you go to study at the library with your mates. I must admit that it was a nice change from sitting in my room by myself trying to find the motivation to work.”

“Those five minute chats have really brought back the sense of belonging and created an academic atmosphere, which enables me to be more focused on my work. As a result, I managed to get more work done when in the study lounge than when I’m by myself.” – Yunye Chen
