Award to support visit by Professor Gordon Hodson

Congratulations to Dr Kristof Dhont, who has been awarded £1,000 by the Dean for Internationalisation and the International Academic Visitor Fund.

The funding will support the visit of Professor Gordon Hodson (Brock University, Canada) to the School from 18 to 26 July. Staff members and PhD students who would like to meet with Gordon during his stay should get in touch with Kristof.

Gordon and Kristof’s recent review paper on individual difference predictors of prejudice (in the European Review of Social Psychology) is listed as one of the most popular articles published in 2015 in the behavioural sciences journals at Taylor & Francis or Routledge.

Kristof and Gordon were also co-authors on a paper published in the European Journal of Personality that has recently been awarded the 2015 Wiley Prize. The paper reports a meta-analysis on the association of cognitive ability with ideological attitudes and prejudice.
