{"id":883,"date":"2017-08-01T12:46:16","date_gmt":"2017-08-01T12:46:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/polir-news\/?p=883"},"modified":"2017-08-01T12:46:16","modified_gmt":"2017-08-01T12:46:16","slug":"prof-korosteleva-awarded-nearly-3-million-for-compass-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/polir-news\/2017\/08\/01\/prof-korosteleva-awarded-nearly-3-million-for-compass-project\/","title":{"rendered":"Prof Korosteleva awarded nearly \u00a33 million for COMPASS project"},"content":{"rendered":"<header>\n<div class=\"content-container\">\n<div class=\"content-main\">\n<p style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 7.5pt 0cm\"><span style=\"font-size: 10.5pt;font-family: 'Helvetica',sans-serif;color: #333333\">Professor Elena\u00a0Korosteleva, Director (Professional Studies) of the Global Europe Centre has been\u00a0awarded nearly \u00a33 million for\u00a0The COMPASS project\u00a0which aims to\u00a0<b>open up communication<\/b>\u00a0with\u00a0academics in former Soviet states\u00a0of\u00a0Azerbaijan, Belarus, Tajikistan and\u00a0Uzbekistan\u00a0by setting up\u00a0<b>hubs of excellence<\/b>\u00a0in research in these countries.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: start;margin: 0cm 0cm 7.5pt 0cm\"><span style=\"font-size: 10.5pt;font-family: 'Helvetica',sans-serif;color: #333333\">She and her research partner, Professor Siddharth Saxena from Cambridge, say this is a research initiative to empower the target countries in\u00a0<strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Helvetica',sans-serif\">research, impact governance and public policy outreach<\/span><\/strong>.
