{"id":4023,"date":"2021-10-27T09:59:52","date_gmt":"2021-10-27T09:59:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/polir-news\/?p=4023"},"modified":"2021-10-27T10:00:25","modified_gmt":"2021-10-27T10:00:25","slug":"new-journal-special-issue-on-political-trust","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/polir-news\/2021\/10\/27\/new-journal-special-issue-on-political-trust\/","title":{"rendered":"New Journal Special Issue on Political Trust"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"lead\">A special issue of the online journal Frontiers in Political Science focusing on political trust has just been published. <\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.frontiersin.org\/research-topics\/14716\/political-trust\">special issue<\/a> was co-edited by Senior Lecturer in British and Comparative Politics, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/politics-international-relations\/people\/2274\/seyd-ben\">Dr Ben Seyd<\/a>, and contains eight peer-reviewed articles that address one of these key questions:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>How should we conceive of trust and distrust in politics, and are there any other conditions that need identification and measurement?<\/li>\n<li>What are the key factors contributing to citizens\u2019 trust judgments?<\/li>\n<li>What are the consequences of trust for effective governance?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The special issue of the journal <a href=\"https:\/\/www.frontiersin.org\/journals\/political-science#\">Frontiers in Political Science<\/a> also includes an Editors introduction, which outlines the contribution of each article and identifies key avenues for further research on trust.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.frontiersin.org\/research-topics\/14716\/political-trust\">Read the Special Issue in Political Science\u00a0<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A special issue of the online journal Frontiers in Political Science focusing on political trust has just been published.
