In the end, students will create their own research proposal based on what they have learnt.\u2019<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:252}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/polir-news\/files\/2021\/10\/glory.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-4033 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/polir-news\/files\/2021\/10\/glory.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"253\" height=\"451\" \/><\/a>On joining the University of Kent, she led the Outreach Debating Programme, helping to develop resources and expand the programme to schools in Kent and Medway. After all\u00a0this is not just black history,\u00a0it&#8217;s\u00a0<\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">our\u00a0<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"none\">history,\u00a0this is everybody\u2019s history.\u2019<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:252}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Ancient Africa and Transatlantic slavery is on her syllabus, as well as figures from the UK Civil Rights Movement in the UK and a contemporary look at Black Lives Matter.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:252}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The program will lead to the students\u00a0to\u00a0creating their own research proposal about\u00a0a\u00a0topic of interest that centres on Black British Culture. Students will be encouraged to develop a question and be given\u00a0creative\u00a0freedom in what they produce, \u2018it could be a piece of art, a video, article or just a written piece.\u2019<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:252}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Education is about inspiring people.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:252}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Glory has a big vision\u00a0for the project.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:252}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u2018This is just a pilot project.
