5 years later… Richard Whitman revisits his thoughts on the EU\u2019s relationship with Canada as a model for the future relationship between the UK and the EU.<\/p>\n
‘Writing in February 2016 \u2013 and in advance of the Brexit referendum \u2013 in a comment piece for UK in a Changing Europe entitled \u2018O Canada? An Alternative for the UK after Brexit<\/a>\u2019 \u2013 I picked up on the degree to which prominent Brexit campaigners were drawing attention to the EU\u2019s relationship with Canada as a model for the future relationship with the UK.
