{"id":2686,"date":"2020-12-11T10:32:41","date_gmt":"2020-12-11T10:32:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/polir-news\/?p=2686"},"modified":"2020-12-11T10:34:12","modified_gmt":"2020-12-11T10:34:12","slug":"conflict-expert-harmonie-toros-partners-with-gchq-to-better-understand-violent-extremism","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/polir-news\/2020\/12\/11\/conflict-expert-harmonie-toros-partners-with-gchq-to-better-understand-violent-extremism\/","title":{"rendered":"Conflict expert Harmonie Toros partners with GCHQ to better understand violent extremism"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/politics-international-relations\/people\/2275\/toros-harmonie\">Dr\u202fHarmonie Toros,<\/a> Reader in International Conflict Analysis at Kent\u2019s School of Politics and International Relations\u202fhas been awarded a Research Fellowship for National Resilience with the Government Communications Headquarters (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gchq.gov.uk\/news\/gchq-fellows-announced\">GCHQ<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>This research partnership will work to\u202fbetter understand\u202fsome of the biggest\u202fthreats to national security\u202f\u2013 from state influence campaigns\u202fto\u202fcyber-attacks on smart buildings.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Toros\u2019 research within the Fellowship will focus on the Gendered Narrative Analysis on violent extremism.
