It also revealed how fragmented and uncertain the world has become. Under the overarching theme\u00a0<b><span>\u201cLet\u2019s Heal the World Together\u201c<\/span><\/b>, the discussion has focused on the most pressing issues that need to be resolved in order to quickly\u00a0<b><span>recover from the Great Lockdown<\/span><\/b>, and to\u00a0<b><span>build safer, more prosperous and resilient societies<\/span><\/b>. For the first time GLOBSEC will be held in a\u00a0<b><span>hybrid format<\/span><\/b>, the international community will be involved in the Forum both\u00a0<b><span>virtually\u00a0<\/span><\/b>and\u00a0<b><span>in-person<\/span><\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/polir-news\/files\/2020\/10\/EK2.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-2538 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/polir-news\/files\/2020\/10\/EK2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"394\" height=\"222\" \/><\/a><span style=\"font-size: 13.5pt;font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;color: #171717\">The star cast of speakers included H.E. Zuzana Caputova, Slovak President; H.E. Madeleine Albright; H.E. Professor Korosteleva and Dr Zachary Paikin were invited to contribute to the discussion at the panel\u00a0<b><span>\u2018Eastern Partnership: The Impact of Regional Political Crisis on the Civil Society and Increased Resilience for Unfolding Trends<\/span>\u2019<span>,\u00a0<\/span><\/b>also involving\u00a0<b>Ivan Krastev,<\/b>\u00a0Chairman of the\u00a0Centre for Liberal Strategies\u00a0and Permanent Fellow at the Institute for Human Sciences (IWM);\u00a0<b><span>Karat\u00edna Mathernov\u00e1,\u00a0<\/span><\/b>Deputy Director-General,\u00a0European Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations, European Commission;\u00a0<b>Corina Rebegea<\/b>, Director for Democratic Resilience, Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA); and\u00a0<b><span>Thomas de Waal,\u00a0<\/span><\/b>Senior Fellow, Carnegie Europe.
