{"id":18,"date":"2014-07-31T08:17:10","date_gmt":"2014-07-31T08:17:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/polir-news\/?p=18"},"modified":"2014-07-31T10:23:30","modified_gmt":"2014-07-31T10:23:30","slug":"dr-benoit-dillet-awarded-political-studies-association-prize","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/polir-news\/2014\/07\/31\/dr-benoit-dillet-awarded-political-studies-association-prize\/","title":{"rendered":"Dr Benoit Dillet awarded Political Studies Association Prize"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>At the Political Studies Association&#8217;s Annual Conference Dinner on Tuesday 15th April, <a href=\"https:\/\/www-test.kent.ac.uk\/politics\/about-us\/staff\/members\/dillet.html\">Dr Beno\u00eet Dillet<\/a> was awarded the Political Studies Association&#8217;s Sir Ernest Barker Prize for Best Dissertation in Political Theory for his doctoral thesis, \u2018The Outside of the Political: Schmitt, Deleuze, Foucault, Descola and the Problem of Travel\u2019.<br \/>\nProf Richard Sakwa, Head of the School of Politics and International Relations, said \u2018this is a great achievement for Beno\u00eet and recognition of the scholarly rigour and innovation that characterises his work in political theory. Since joining the School first as an undergraduate on the Bi-dipl\u00f4me in Politics and International Relations organised by Kent and Science Po, Lille and then as a doctoral student Beno\u00eet has contributed greatly to the academic life of the School as a researcher, core member of the Centre for Critical Thought, assistant lecturer and co-ordinator of the REF submission.
