{"id":1459,"date":"2019-12-10T14:56:48","date_gmt":"2019-12-10T14:56:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/polir-news\/?p=1459"},"modified":"2019-12-10T15:04:20","modified_gmt":"2019-12-10T15:04:20","slug":"american-politics-group-annual-conference-3-5-january-2020-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/polir-news\/2019\/12\/10\/american-politics-group-annual-conference-3-5-january-2020-2\/","title":{"rendered":"American Politics Group Annual Conference, 3-5 January 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/politics\/\">School of Politics and International Relations<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.psa.ac.uk\/specialist-groups\/american-politics\">American Politics Group<\/a> are delighted to be hosting the <strong>46<sup>th<\/sup> annual conference of the American Politics Group<\/strong> on <strong>3-5 January 2020 at the Canterbury Cathedral Lodge in Canterbury, UK<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\"><strong><em>46<sup>th<\/sup> annual conference of the American Politics Group<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\"><strong><em>3-5 January 2020<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\"><strong><em>Canterbury Cathedral Lodge, Canterbury, UK<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Academics and PhD students are welcome to attend the conference as well as anyone with a professional interest in US politics (journalists, think-tank researchers, A-level teachers etc). <a href=\"https:\/\/research.kent.ac.uk\/apg2020\/registration\/\">Registration<\/a> is necessary for those wishing to attend the conference. The <strong>deadline for registration to attend the conference is 12pm (UK time) on Monday 16 December 2019<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s John Lees Memorial keynote lecturer is Dr Brian Klass, Assistant Professor at University College London, Washington Post columnist and frequent commentator on US politics on American TV.
