There is free parking on campus from 17.00 and the talk is\u00a0followed by a drinks reception.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/header>\n<section class=\"content-body\">\n<div class=\"content-container\">\n<div class=\"content-main\">\n<p>Her talk will draw from her new book,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/newworkingclass.uk\/\">\u2018The New Working Class: how to win hearts, minds and votes\u2019<\/a>, in which she argues that\u00a0<strong>changes to Britain\u2019s economy and society over the past forty years have created a new working class.<\/strong>\u00a0She says that any political party that wants to win a parliamentary majority\u00a0<strong>needs to understand and act on their concerns<\/strong>, and present a new public attitudes-led model for policy-making.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jrf.org.uk\/\">Joseph Rowntree Foundation<\/a>, aims to inspire action and change to\u00a0<strong>solve UK poverty<\/strong>.
