A book co-authored by University Professor Matthew Goodwin is a Sunday Times Top 10 Bestseller (Paperback), just two weeks after publication.<\/p>\n
The book, titled\u00a0National Populism: The Revolt Against Liberal Democracy<\/a>,<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0explores\u00a0why populism is now a serious force<\/strong>\u00a0in many Western democracies and is here to stay.<\/p>\n Since publication the work by\u00a0Professor Goodwin<\/a>, of the University\u2019s\u00a0School of Politics and International Relations<\/a>, and co-authored by Professor Roger Eatwell (University of Bath) has already received widespread media coverage and positive reviews.<\/p>\n In\u00a0The Economist<\/em>\u00a0it was said to \u2018put a\u00a0parochial debate in a much bigger context<\/strong>\u00a0\u2026 [ranging] far beyond Brexit and Britain.\u2019<\/p>\n The Sunday Times<\/em>\u00a0said the book was: \u2018A fascinating new study\u2026.
