Congratulations, Interrupted.

The last two years of graduation celebrations have been suspended due to the global pandemic but we are finally getting to celebrate the achievements of our students in Canterbury. This time the Class of 2020.

It was wonderful to see everyone again at the reception at Westgate Hall, Canterbury on March 30th. This cohort being particularly deserving having completed their degrees during an extremely challenging and unusual academic year which was so suddenly suspended by the COVID pandemic.

‘It was so inspiring and life-affirming to see our students (or should I say graduates!) again after such a difficult time for us all, being able to mark their successes and hear all about the exciting things that our students are doing now that they have graduated, in the world of work and further studies.’ Director of Studies and Senior Tutor Dr Jane O Mahoney told us.
One of our graduates, Bill Bowkett said it was ‘Totally worth the two year wait.’
‘Every one of you will write the future in so many different ways and have an impact for the good on the world around you.’ Head of School Dr Nadine Ansorg told the cohort ‘After three years with us, you have gained the knowledge, understanding and skills to help you in this. We know you will go on to do great things!’

The formal convocation took place at UNESCO World Heritage Site, Canterbury Cathedral.
