G7 2021: a Post Brexit UK finding a place for itself on the International Stage.

As the G7 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting takes place in London today, Professor Richard Whitman discusses on BBC Radio Scotland, how important the UK location is for Post-Brexit International Relations.   

This is the first time representatives from G7 countries are meeting face-to-face for two years, ahead of the G7 Leaders Summit to be held in Cornwall this June.

British Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab is hosting the new US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, along with all other G7 Foreign and Development Ministers, at Lancaster house in London.

As well as presenting an opportunity for the UK to re establish itself on the International stage, Professor Richard Whitman, explains how this gathering of liberal democracies is an opportunity amongst a small group of foreign minsters, to decide a shared platform, on the ‘difficult’ global relationships.
