GEC Research Fellows Contribute to Book on the EU’s Principled Pragmatism Towards Russia

Mid-April Brill is publishing a book: ‘Principled Pragmatism in Practice. The EU’s Policy towards Russia after Crimea’.

The volume is edited by Fabienne Bossuyt and Peter van Elsuwege (Ghent University).

GEC Senior Research Fellow Thomas Kruessman has contributed a chapter on the Arctic as a micro-cosmos for selective engagement between the EU and Russia.

GEC Research Fellow Igor Merheim-Eyre has written a chapter on visa policy in the contested neighbourhood.

Irina Petrova, a post-doctoral research associate at the University of Kent, has contributed a chapter on the EU and Russian narratives on the Minsk agreements and sanctions.
