The 46th annual conference of the American Politics Group of the UK Political Studies Association will be hosted by the School of Politics and International Relations, University of Kent in the United Kingdom from Friday 3rd to Sunday 5th January 2020.
The APG is happy to receive proposals on any aspect of American politics. For example, papers or panel proposals examining contemporary US political institutions or processes, foreign policy issues or political history are invited. The conference organizers would also welcome papers addressing comparative themes or relevant theoretical or methodological issues.
Past conferences have had a strong postgraduate presence and we especially encourage young scholars to present their work.
If you are interested in presenting a paper, please send a title and abstract to Dr Andrew Wroe at a.j.wroe@kent.ac.uk by 1st November 2019. Proposals should be around 150 words for single papers and 300 words for panels.
While the University of Kent is hosting the conference, the conference venue and accommodation is in Canterbury Cathedral Lodge in the precincts of Canterbury Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the heart of this ancient city.
The APG is the leading scholarly association for the study of US politics in the UK and also has members in continental Europe and the USA.
Any enquiries should be directed to the conference organiser and APG chair:
