On Thursday 27th August, the School of Politics and International Relations were pleased to welcome our alumni, academic staff and student ambassadors to our Inaugural Summer reception at the Houses of Parliament.
The event, held in the Terrace Pavilion at the House of Commons was opened by our Head of School, Dr Adrian Pabst followed by a speech from school alumnus, Stuart Gill OBE, High Commissioner to the Republic of Malta. Stuart Gill reflected on his time at Kent, current issues facing the political sector as well as his role as High Commissioner to the Republic of Malta.
The event was highly successful and all attendees enjoyed connecting with old friends and developing their alumni network in a stunning location looking out to the Thames.
We hope to hold similar events in the future and we are currently planning a range of employability events in the Autumn term where we hope to welcome back some of our alumni to share their experiences and provide employment advice.
