The School of Politics and International Relations is now open to applications from candidates seeking PhD funding for September 2017 entry.
We are accepting applications to both the University Vice Chancellor’s Research Scholarships and the ESRC SeNSS funding.
Students interested in being considered for this funding will need to submit an application to our PhD programmes through the online application portal and all succesful PhD candidates that apply before January 30th 2017 will be considered for this funding. Students are not required to submit a seperate or additional application for funding.
Kent has established 100 doctoral scholarships to be awarded annually under the VC Research scheme and successful candidates will demonstrate academic excellence and outstanding research potential. Scholarships will be offered at the standard UK Research Councils’ rate and administered under the Graduate Teaching Assistant Scheme, further details of which can be found here.
Final year undergradautes interested in applying for ESRC SeNSS funding are invited to attend a briefing session on Friday 25th November at 10am in Jennison lecture theatre, where Dr Tim Hopthrow, Faculty Associate Dean (Research) will outline the application process of applying for SeNSS.
All succesfully shortlisted POLIR candidates will be invited to interview between Thursday 3rd February and Wednesday 8th February 2017, further details on the interview process will be given to shortlisted candidates closer to the interview dates.
