Politics and IR PhD student secures ESRC Policy Internship

Dee Goddard, a Comparative Politics PhD student in the School of Politics and International Relations, has secured an ESRC Policy Internship at the Cabinet Office’s Committee on Standard in Public Life.

Dee will be starting the ESRC Policy Internship at the Cabinet Office’s Committee on Standards in Public Life for three months starting in mid-January. This committee is responsible for advising the Prime Minister on ethical standards across the institutions of public life in the UK. Working alongside the Committee’s Chair, Lord Bew, Dee will undertake research for the committee on two key themes: the ethical conduct of regulatory bodies in the UK, and ethical standards for Local Councillors. She will be responsible for data analysis, organising stakeholder workshops and interviews on these themes, contributing towards committee’s reports.

We would like to congratulate Dee on securing this excellent internship opportunity, it is a fantastic achievement and we wish her the best of luck during her internship.
