The discussion will examine the impacts and implications of the UN report for the future of Sri Lanka, as well as comparative lessons that might be learned from other conflicts and relatively successful processes of resolution. There will be a range of informed voices from academic and policy backgrounds including the FCO, MOD, British Army, International Crisis Group, Amnesty International and the Tamil Diaspora. It connects to CARC’s broader interest relating to processes of political reform in violently divided societies.
