Easy listening with the Discovery Planet podcast.

By Nikki Gregory | 27 February 2023

A new collaboration between Discovery Planet and Ramsgate radio brings you some exciting podcasts from University of Kent, Division of Natural Sciences staff. Listen to our technical manager for Forensic Science Sarah Walsh, and postgraduate researcher Fiep Bargeman discuss their experiences, what it is like to be a forensic scientist and what inspires them. Or if you are interested in physics and astronomy, listen to our Matthias van Ginneken and Dr Penny Wozniakiewicz talk about their incredible work as Meteorologists.

Discovery Planet was founded in 2013 by Xanthe Pitt, Nikki Hildesley and Dr Vicky Mason from NATS. The community venue is focused on inspiring, inclusive and enriching learning and making a positive impact in the local society.

This radio series seeks to explore Discovery Planet’s unique philosophy further, examining their work from all angles and highlighting how learning can influence people’s lives and localities. Through interviews, commentary and analysis, the series provides an in-depth look into Discovery Planet’s work, enabling listeners to gain a deeper understanding of learning initiatives that are making a difference.

We look forward to hearing many more interesting interviews on the Discovery Planet podcast.
