Comenius University gold medal award

The Gold Medal of Comenius University in Bratislava has been awarded to Professor Nigel J. Mason for merits in the research of interactions of electrons with atoms and molecules in the field of plasma physics and astrophysics and for his long-term cooperation and support of the UK, especially in the field of plasma physics.

The award is also for establishing cooperations with Comenius university over 25 years developing their research infrastructure and administration services (through an EU project Elevate). With the late Professor Skalny and Professor Matejcik, Professor Mason has published 50 joint publications.
