{"id":407,"date":"2026-07-30T11:21:31","date_gmt":"2026-07-30T10:21:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/photonics\/?p=407"},"modified":"2026-09-23T11:26:32","modified_gmt":"2026-09-23T10:26:32","slug":"invited-talk-at-sustainable-photonics-conference-2026-in-hangzhou","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/photonics\/2026\/07\/30\/invited-talk-at-sustainable-photonics-conference-2026-in-hangzhou\/","title":{"rendered":"Invited talk at Sustainable Photonics Conference 2026 in Hangzhou"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"PDq2pG_selectionAnchorContainer\" dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"71\" data-end=\"300\">In July 2026, Chao Wang attended the <strong data-start=\"108\" data-end=\"159\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.spconf.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2nd Sustainable Photonics Conference<\/a> (SPC 2026)<\/strong> in Hangzhou, China, where he delivered an invited talk entitled <strong data-start=\"224\" data-end=\"300\">\u201cOvercoming Data Bottlenecks in Ultrafast Single-Pixel Optical Imaging.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"302\" data-end=\"722\">The talk presented our recent research on photonic approaches for addressing the data-processing bottlenecks that arise in ultrafast optical imaging, particularly in single-pixel and time-stretch imaging systems. It highlighted how photonic signal processing and optical computing techniques can help reduce reliance on high-speed electronic acquisition and enable more efficient processing of large-volume optical data.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"724\" data-end=\"1003\">SPC 2026 was hosted by Beihang University, the Hangzhou International Innovation Institute of Beihang University, and the School of Instrumentation and Optoelectronic Engineering, and was co-organised by the IEEE Sensors, Systems and China Councils Joint Chapter.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"1005\" data-end=\"1412\">According to the organisers, the conference brought together more than 300 researchers, students and industry representatives from 18 countries and regions.
