{"id":255,"date":"2012-01-11T14:59:10","date_gmt":"2012-01-11T13:59:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/philanthropy\/?p=255"},"modified":"2012-01-11T14:59:10","modified_gmt":"2012-01-11T13:59:10","slug":"best-books-on-corporate-philanthropy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/philanthropy\/2012\/01\/11\/best-books-on-corporate-philanthropy\/","title":{"rendered":"Best Books on Corporate Philanthropy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I love being asked to recommend books, in fact one of the favourite parts of my job is writing <a href=\"http:\/\/www.philanthropyuk.org\/resources\/book-reviews\">book reviews <\/a>and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.philanthropyuk.org\/resources\/notices\">brief notices of new books and reports<\/a> on the Philanthropy UK website.<\/p>\n<p>The last time someone asked me to recommend a book came via Twitter, and as it&#8217;s not really possible to say much in 140 characters, I thought I&#8217;d write a blog about it instead.<\/p>\n<p>The very personable and knowledgable <a href=\"http:\/\/carolinefiennes.com\/about\/\">Caroline Fiennes <\/a>asked a few fellow tweeters &#8216;What&#8217;s the best thing you&#8217;ve ever read about corporate philanthropy?&#8217;. My answer is below &#8211; it&#8217;s the reading list for a lecture on corporate philanthropy that I&#8217;ll be giving next month, as part of a new course on &#8216;Fundraising and Philanthropy&#8217; within a new Masters degree in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/sspssr\/postgraduate\/taught\/ispocs.html\">Civil Society Studies<\/a> at the University of Kent.
