Kinks – 1D Solitons (James Bradshaw 26/02/21)

This week’s seminar will be given by James Bradshaw and will be entitled “Kinks – 1D Solitons”. As usual we will be meeting on Teams at 4pm on Friday.

Abstract: “A brief introduction to solitons and kinks. This will be followed by a couple of example models (sine–Gordon and phi^4), where some basic concepts will be demonstrated. The final part of the talk will look at collisions of kinks and antikinks, with some plots from numerical data.”
