Abstract:
In capture recapture study for estimating changes of abundance over time, we might want to estimate the effect of a categorical covariate on demographic parameters, such as gender differences in survival and the changes in population distribution of gender over time. In this particular dataset, we encounter misclassifications of gender (as individually identifiable animals are classified differently on different occasions). I will show some exploration of methods and problems for estimating population and other parameters, such as agreement measures and identifiability problems, and the stepwise combination of some algorithms.
