This week, Fenia Derezea will be speaking on “Period estimation of lightcurves”.
Abstract: “This is a general presentation that everyone can attend. In this talk we will introduce the problem of period estimation of lightcurves. We will see analytically what a lightcurve is, what a periodogram is, why they are interesting and discuss the challenges that can arise from a relatively easy problem like that.”
