Statistical modelling of spatial and temporal patterns in human-elephant conflict (Chloe Francis)

17:00, June 12, Microsoft Teams meeting

Abstract: A presentation based on my Master’s project as titled as above. Particularly looking into and discussing results for distance sampling methods applied to the data to estimate the probability of detection. Sightings were collected on a regional basis and a number of monitors were employed to record sightings form their home area regardless of whether that sighting also included an incident of ‘conflict’, where damage was recorded to person, property or elephant.
