Global Existence in Compressible Fluid Dynamics (Shrish Parmeshwar)

16:00, February 21, Kennedy Seminar Room 2

Abstract: The compressible Euler and Euler-Poisson equations are systems of partial differential equations describing the dynamics of a compressible fluid. We will look at the free boundary formulation of these systems, and related topics such as Lagrangian coordinates, scaling, and a problem of multiple expanding Newtonian stars acting under the influence of gravitation attraction.
