Title: Sarkisov links in classification of Fanos

Abstract: The classification of algebraic varieties is one of the hottest topics in modern Algebraic Geometry. Its building blocks are three types of varieties called Calabi-Yau, General Type, and Fano. In this talk I will focus on the latter, considering some extra hypotheses coming from the Minimal Model Program.

In particular, I will outline the main techniques used, such as unprojections and Sarkisov links, leading to a glimpse of my current research.
