Title : An introduction to Painlevé equations.
Abstract: The six Painlevé equations were discovered by Painlevé, Gambier et al. in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, in an investigation of second order differential equations in a particular form. In this seminar, we will be discussing some properties of Painlevé equations. We will also be looking at Backlund transformations of the second Painlevé equations and roots of Yablonskii- Vorob’ev polynomials.
