Title: I-spaces with finite group action.

Abstract: The category of I-spaces serve as an unstable analog for the category of symmetric spectra. In particular, there are adjoint functors and model structures on these categories such that these adjoint functors is a Quillen adjunction. In this talk we will introduce the category of I-spaces with a finite group action and talk a bit about how their homotopy theory serve as an unstable analog for the equivariant stable homotopy theory.

Rather than explaining the technical details and the actual content of the thesis, we will try to provide some motivation for this theory. We will recall some elementary definitions and facts along the way, so the presentation should be accessible to general mathematics audience.
