Welcome to the People’s History of Kent, an initiative launched by Ben Marsh (University of Kent) & Tom Mattingly (Simon Langton Boys) designed to bring about more effective collaboration between communities in the education, arts, and heritage sectors.

We’re planning to use this site to build towards a pilot study and a funding bid, to roll out some of the ideas and activities.

We hope to begin by arranging for some basic surveys of what folk associate with “People’s History” in the region, and who they see the “People of Kent” as being (now and historically).
