We look forward to welcoming her to Paris to work with our<br \/>\nstudents and to join our community of writers.<\/p>\n<p>Sampurna Chattarji is a poet, author, translator and teacher based in Mumbai,<br \/>\nIndia. She says:<\/p>\n<p><em>I am utterly delighted and honoured to be awarded the Paris Writer\u2019s <\/em><br \/>\n<em>Residency 2019. I hope to capture the capacious, random beauty of the <\/em><br \/>\n<em>quotidian in newly disruptive ways as I live and work in Paris for a <\/em><br \/>\n<em>month. I also greatly look forward to my interactions with the Creative <\/em><br \/>\n<em>Writing students. Having just recently published Over and Underground in <\/em><br \/>\n<em>Mumbai &amp; Paris (Context, October 2018), the result of a collaborative <\/em><br \/>\n<em>project with the Paris-based poet Karthika Na\u00efr and the artist Jo\u00eblle <\/em><br \/>\n<em>Jolivet, it seems like one adventure segueing into another. Mer\u00e7i <\/em><br \/>\n<em>beaucoup!<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"inside\">\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">Following on from last year\u2019s inaugural residency, which saw <a href=\"http:\/\/www.danielhahn.co.uk\/\">Daniel Hahn<\/a> step into the role, Sampurna Chattarji will be in Paris from March 19 to April 18, 2019.
