{"id":47,"date":"2013-06-02T09:19:27","date_gmt":"2013-06-02T09:19:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/paris-news\/?p=47"},"modified":"2013-07-26T14:34:41","modified_gmt":"2013-07-26T14:34:41","slug":"20-students-arrive-for-the-university-of-kent-at-paris-two-week-summer-school","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/paris-news\/2013\/06\/02\/20-students-arrive-for-the-university-of-kent-at-paris-two-week-summer-school\/","title":{"rendered":"20 students arrive for two week Summer School at University of Kent, Paris!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This afternoon, 20 first class undergraduate students from the University of Kent will arrive to participate in the first ever Summer School at the University of Kent,\u00a0Paris.<\/p>\n<p>An initiative forming part of the University\u2019s 50th anniversary celebrations, a total of 55 scholarships (5 more than originally announced) were awarded to Kent\u2019s strongest students to enable them to attend the two-week Paris or Brussels Summer Schools.<\/p>\n<p>With over 450 applications, competition was fierce. 20 students from across all faculties were awarded scholarships to study at the University of Kent at Paris for the first two weeks of June.<\/p>\n<p>Students&#8217; tuition, travel, accommodation, lunches and daily visits are all included in the scholarship award and Lecturers from Canterbury will travel to Paris to teach on the subject of \u2018revolutions\u2019 and then lead trips to museums and places of interest related to the day\u2019s learning.<\/p>\n<p>We are all looking forward to a busy, fun and intellectually stimulating fortnight in our favourite city!<br \/>\nWelcome to Paris!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This afternoon, 20 first class undergraduate students from the University of Kent will arrive to participate in the first ever Summer School at the University of Kent,\u00a0Paris.
