Tuesday 1st February 2022 marks the Lunar New Year. The Lunar New Year is celebrated in\u00a0China, as well as in\u00a0Korea, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">If you are looking for a way to celebrate, check out Paris&#8217;s three different Chinatowns. Expect bustling streets and busy restaurants at this time of year, which are perfect for soaking in the atmosphere and joining the celebrations! Or grab a bite to eat from your local takeaway (<em>traiteur<\/em>)!<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: left\">Les Olympiades<\/h3>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: left\">The more active heart of the Chinese community in Paris is located in the Olympiades district of the 13th arrondissement. ~The Olympiades is Europe&#8217;s largest Chinatown in terms of size. While Recognisable thanks to its many 1970s high-rises, it&#8217;s a vibrant neighbourhood with excellent food!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">The town hall of the 13th arrondissement is hosting a week of New Year&#8217;s celebrations including film screenings, round table discussions and exhibitions. Along the bustling Boulevard de Belleville one can find North African hookah lounges, Jewish delis and Asian supermarkets.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Treat yourself to a delicious meal at one of the many Chinese restaurants and tea houses lining the main streets within 2-3 blocks of <em>m\u00e9tro<\/em> Belleville, especially along Rue Louis Bonnet.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\" style=\"text-align: left\">The area\u2019s most famous restaurant is <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/lepresident-paris.fr\/\"><span class=\"s1\">Le Pr\u00e9sident<\/span><\/a><\/strong>, a vast Cantonese restaurant. For great Vietnamese pho or bobun, grab a table at<strong> <a class=\"_15_ydu6b S5 H4 Cj b\" href=\"http:\/\/chezyu.fr\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Chez Yu<\/a><\/strong> and vegetarians might want to track down <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tripadvisor.com\/Restaurant_Review-g187147-d11801590-Reviews-Best_Tofu-Paris_Ile_de_France.html\"><strong>Best Tofu<\/strong><\/a>, a small casual joint packed with Asian diners (best for lunch as it closes at 8pm).<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_2408\" style=\"width: 3082px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2408\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2408\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/paris-news\/files\/2022\/02\/6a00d8341d8a0f53ef0154321c4671970c.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"3072\" height=\"2304\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-2408\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Rue au Maire, <a href=\"https:\/\/vivrelemarais.typepad.fr\/blog\/2011\/05\/la-rue-au-maire-iiie-melange-le-commerce-communautaire-avec-la-haute-technologie.html\">Vivre le Marais.<\/a><\/p><\/div>\n<h3 class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: left\">Arts-et-M\u00e9tiers<\/h3>\n<p class=\"p3\" style=\"text-align: left\">The city&#8217;s original Chinatown is found in pocket of the 3rd arrondissement. As the traditional wholesale clothing district of the city, some Chinese, particularly from Wenzhou, settled in the area.
