Many of the best contemporary galleries are located in the Upper Marais, on and around rue Vieille du Temple (some are listed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.guide-artistique.com\/galeries\/europe\/france\/paris\/3-temple.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>). These\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/hipparis.com\/2020\/05\/21\/our-favorite-english-bookstores-in-paris\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">excellent English bookshops<\/a>\u00a0are also open right now.<\/p>\n<p>Kent&#8217;s School of English also holds virtual events via its weekly\u00a0Creative Writing Reading Series, held Tuesdays 6-7pm (GMT). Although\u00a0the interiors are closed for now, the gardens of many castles are still opened, like\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/en.chateauversailles.fr\/plan-your-visit\/practical-information\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Versailles<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/chateaufontainebleau\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fontainebleau<\/a>\u00a0(the latter is also organizing tours of the gardens in French on weekends through the end of January).
