It was attended by over 100 midwives,\u00a0advocates, academics, policy makers, journalists, and others concerned about the expansion of risk thinking and its effects for the autonomy and choice-making ability of women.<\/p>\n<p>Read <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tandfonline.com\/doi\/full\/10.1080\/13698575.2016.1229758\">this paper<\/a> about a key theme of the event, and read a report on the conference in the <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.magonlinelibrary.com\/doi\/10.12968\/bjom.2016.24.5.371\">British Journal of Midwifery<\/a><\/em>.
