On the 13 and 14 of June, the University of Kent delivered four sessions of the “Confidence in the Classroom” workshop with Key Stage 4 students to encourage them to realise the wealth of transferable skills they possess and how they can develop these skills in their school studies.

These fun and interactive sessions were thoroughly enjoyed by the students who attended and were a fantastic preparation for the “Confidence in Communication” events being held on the Canterbury campus on the 28 June and the 6 July. Over these two visit days, students will be able to explore the university campus and learn more about how the skill of communication is used across different academic disciplines, such as Mathematics, Social Sciences, and English.

With the onset of the University’s Summer Core period, we expect to work with many more schools, both on campus and in school, to improve their awareness of Higher Education and their own abilities. If you are a KaMCOP school and would like to know more about the programme and what we could offer your students, please contact outreach@kent.ac.uk for more information, or visit the KMPF activity portal: http://www.kmpf.org/events

Over the last two weeks, the staff at the University of Kent have been have been busy delivering a variety of activities in schools across … Read more

[124
