Bespoke <\/strong><\/td>\nStepping Up 1 <\/a><\/td>\nStepping Up 1 is now on offer to schools. This forms part of our successful three-module Stepping Up programme, which is designed for students in years 12 and 13 who are interested in finding out more about Higher Education. The aim of Stepping Up 1 is to give students in year 12 the information that they need about university to help them to decide if higher education is the right option.<\/p>\n

Bespoke<\/strong><\/td>\nEnglish Language A Level Support<\/a><\/td>\nThe Department of English Language and Linguistics are offering support programmes for students of English Language A Level. This can take the form of guest lectures, skills-building workshops, or coursework support including use of the university library facilities.<\/p>\n

In School and Canterbury campus<\/td>\nYear 12 and 13<\/td>\nEnglish Language<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Bespoke <\/strong><\/td>\nHistory GCSE Support Package<\/a><\/td>\nThis in-classroom support programme explores the concept of source analysis using specially created source packs containing resources from the University of Kent’s extensive catalogue. Sessions can be tailored to focus on the particular historical periods or themes within your GCSE syllabus.<\/p>\n

In School<\/td>\nYear 10 and 11<\/td>\nHistory<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Wednesday 18 April <\/strong><\/td>\nHistory Day<\/a><\/td>\nThe History Day allows students to explore different areas of history, areas which they may not ordinarily have the opportunity to investigate during their normal lessons. Focussing on a specific theme, the sessions are run by specialist academics and postgraduate students and concentrate on the key skills so important to a student of history.<\/p>\n

Canterbury campus<\/td>\nYear 9 and 10<\/td>\nHistory<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Wednesday 27 June <\/strong><\/td>\nText and Language Day <\/a><\/td>\nAimed at year 12 students studying English Language, Literature, or Modern Languages, this interactive day explores the relationship between language, text and research.\u00a0The students will experience a variety of subject sessions led by University of Kent academics, and will have a chance to explore the university campus and to meet current students.<\/td>\nCanterbury campus<\/td>\nYear 12<\/td>\nEnglish and Modern Languages<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
