This module forms part of the diverse and exciting outreach curriculum offered to KMPF and Partner Schools.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px 0px 10px;color: #333333;text-indent: 0px;letter-spacing: normal;font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;font-size: 14px;font-style: normal;font-weight: normal\"><span style=\"line-height: 107%;font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">Throughout the module, students took part in a range of interactive sessions to consider the skills required to debate effectively and learn more about the rules of debating. During the sessions, students\u00a0took\u00a0part in\u00a0speaker challenges, and a series of interactive tasks which helped\u00a0the students analyse, develop and present arguments. The module culminated in a big debate which allowed students to showcase the skills they had practised throughout the module.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px 0px 10px;color: #333333;text-indent: 0px;letter-spacing: normal;font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;font-size: 14px;font-style: normal;font-weight: normal\"><span style=\"line-height: 107%;font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">A\u00a0main aim of the module was to introduce students to debating and develop the skills required such as\u00a0critical thinking\u00a0and active listening.\u00a0Students also\u00a0developed their understanding of how to structure an argument\u00a0which is helpful not only for<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>debating but also for writing essays.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px 0px 10px;color: #333333;text-indent: 0px;letter-spacing: normal;font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;font-size: 14px;font-style: normal;font-weight: normal\"><span style=\"line-height: 107%;font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">Feedback from the students was positive, with one student asking \u2018can we do it again\u2019 at the end of the last session.
