📍<\/strong>Where: Gulbenkian Arts Centre – University of Kent site!\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

⏰<\/strong>Time: Starts at 12pm, finishes at 8pm – but you can come throughout the day!<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you are aged 13-25, GENFest is for you. This is the festival curated by young people for young people, giving a dedicated platform to young creative voices in Kent.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It\u2019s a place to connect with and meet new friends, enjoy a day of live festival performances and pick up new skills in our artist-led workshops.<\/p>\n

Live<\/strong>\u00a0performances<\/strong>\u00a0include new work from Square Pegs Arts, Oida Theatre, Unsettled Theatre, Confidance and Icon Youth Theatre plus a stand-up comedy show with some of the best up and coming young comedians!<\/p>\n

You can also check out amazing new music talent with local bands and artists showcasing their work on the\u00a0GENFest music stage!<\/strong>\u00a0As well as\u00a0film screenings<\/strong>\u00a0in Gulbenkian cinema of new work from brilliant local young filmmakers, including \u2018Henry\u2019s Room\u2019 by students from University of Kent.<\/p>\n

There will also be a whole host of\u00a0FREE artist-led workshops<\/strong>, including street dance, graffiti, cyanotypes, songwriting and even a singing workshop from the original, West End Tracy Turnblad, from Hairspray the Musical!<\/p>\n

And our very own\u00a0GENFest Art Exhibition<\/strong>\u00a0in Colyer-Fergusson Foyer from local young people including Luca Fasulo, St John\u2019s School, Dover SmART, Sophie Chan, Eraj Fatima and GYG art group.<\/p>\n

The day kicks off at\u00a012pm\u00a0with events running until 8pm, including live music on our outdoor stage and an outdoor BBQ and bar available.<\/p>\n
