We have developed debating sessions for students in Years 9 and 10. Our objective is to help students feel more comfortable articulating their opinions, as well as increasing their confidence in public speaking.<\/p>\n
We will introduce students to the British Parliamentary Debating (BPD). Students will participate in mini-debates, with the aim of having two full-length debates in the final session.<\/p>\n
This 6-week module is best delivered in a one hour slot each week.<\/p>\n
These interactive sessions will be run on Zoom and are lead by a member of staff, who is supported by university student ambassadors.<\/p>\n
Online Debating can be run for individual schools who have a minimum of 10 students interested, or multi-school if schools have a smaller group of students who want to take part.<\/p>\n
