After a successful launch event for the SUCCEED Programme during half term, we are still accepting applications from students who wish to join the programme on our next date (Saturday 25th November).
This is a new, year-long programme, run by the University, is designed to help young people in Kent and Medway explore the opportunities and challenges offered by higher education in a safe inclusive environment with the support of friendly and knowledgeable university staff and student ambassadors. The SUCCEED programme combines information, first-hand experience and exploration to provide students with a broad view of university so that they can decide whether it is the right path for them. Students will also be encouraged to develop skills and a confident approach which will be useful whether they decide to undertake further study or enter employment.
The programme is made up of 4 Saturday workshops, plus a three day residential course in July. The dates are: 25 November 2017, 13 January 2018, 17 February 2018, 31 March 2018 and the residential taking place on 25 to 27 July 2018. The times are 10:00-15:00.
To apply for SUCCEED, a student must have started a Level 3 qualification in September (A Levels, BTEC, IB or equivalent), ideally have 5 GCSE’s grade A*-C or a minimum of a GCSE 4/C in English or working towards this qualification as this a minimum requirement for university applications. Any student interested can complete this short online form and we will get back to them with information about how to join the programme in November.
