Rowan Tree Dramatherapy and The Gulbenkian Arts Centre are hosting a FREE Creative Arts Day on the University of Kent’s Canterbury Campus for young people aged 11-25 years old.
The day includes the following activities:
- A contemporary dance workshop offering an introduction to this style of dance, no matter what your experience or ability.
- A drama workshop exploring techniques through games and improvisations. This fun workshop encourages inclusive and comfortable connections.
- A music workshop for everyone of all ages regardless of musical knowledge to be involved in. This West African drumming workshop is facilitated by Rich Rhythms.
- University tour by care-experienced student ambassadors and staff from the University of Kent’s outreach and widening participation team to answer any questions you may have about university
Who can attend? The day is open to all young people aged 11-25 years of age. Priority will be given to care-experienced young people. No previous drama, dance or music experience is necessary.
How do I book? To avoid disappointment, please complete the Creative Arts Day Event Booking Form 2025 and email Justine at rowantreedramatherapy@gmail.com Places will be given on a first come first served basis, so we would encourage a prompt response.
We are offering this event free of charge in celebration of Rowan Tree’s work over the past 10 years with Children in Care.
