We have developed debating sessions for students in Years 9 and 10. Our objective is to help students feel more comfortable articulating their opinions, as well as increasing their confidence in public speaking.
We will introduce students to the British Parliamentary Debating (BPD). Students will participate in mini-debates, with the aim of having two full-length debates in the final session.
This 6-week module is best delivered in a one hour slot each week.
These interactive sessions will be run on Zoom and are lead by a member of staff, who is supported by university student ambassadors.
Online Debating can be run for individual schools who have a minimum of 10 students interested, or multi-school if schools have a smaller group of students who want to take part.
