Calling all future radio presenters!
We are delighted to share an exciting opportunity for your female students aged 14–18, particularly those with an interest in media, broadcasting and communication.
The University of Kent is hosting an exclusive radio presenting masterclass as part of our International Women’s Day activities, led by BBC Radio 1Xtra DJ and Kent alumna Fee Mak. This interactive session will take place at our CSRFM radio studios at the University of Kent on Wednesday 4th March 2026, 16:00–19:00 GMT and is designed to give participants hands-on experience of radio presenting, help build confidence, and introduce essential skills for a future in media.
This is a rare chance for young women with a passion for broadcasting to learn directly from a successful industry professional and explore potential career pathways in media and communication.
How to enter:
Students can submit a 30-second audio or video introducing themselves and explaining why they would like to take part. Entries should be emailed (a link is acceptable) to careerhelp@kent.ac.uk with:
- Full name
- Contact details (mobile number & email)
- Parent/guardian consent
- Confirmation of ability to attend the masterclass on campus
The deadline for entries is 23:59 GMT on Saturday 28th February 2026.
Full event details and entry information can be found here.
We would be grateful if you could circulate this opportunity to students who may benefit from this unique experience.
